Race into Halloween Fun at Disneyland® Resort What’s this? What’s this? Why that’s the sound of happy runDisney haunts making their way to The Happiest Place on Earth for a grim grinning good time during the Disneyland® Halloween Half Marathon Weekend. This September, the Disneyland Resort will be conjuring up high spirits with four days of events for all skill levels including yoga, Kids Races, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Challenge, all themed to the Halloween season. With frightfully fun courses through the theme parks — which will be filled with ghoulish decorations for the Halloween season — and around the surrounding Anaheim resort district, plus exciting finisher medals, you’re sure to have an eerily awesome ‘run’cation. We are simply dying to share with you a first look at the individual event themes coming to the race weekend! Disneyland® Halloween 5KJoin Chip ‘n Dale for a race that’s a real treat as they host the delightful Disneyland® Halloween 5K. This 3.1-mile trick-or-treat themed adventure through Disneyland Resort will be happy Halloween fun for everyone! Disneyland® Halloween 10KLace up for a hauntingly fun run as some Haunted Mansion® inhabitants join with spectral forces for the Disneyland® Halloween 10K. For 6.2 miles through Disneyland Resort and the local Anaheim area, be on the lookout for Hitchhiking Ghosts, the Hatbox Ghost, Singing Busts and more! Disneyland® Halloween Half MarathonFinish out the race weekend with a spellbinding 13.1-mile run through Disneyland Resort and the city of Anaheim, hosted by Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus.” Chills & Thrills ChallengeSign up for an event that’s nightmarish in the most wonderful of ways — the Chills & Thrills Challenge. Hosted by Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” the challenge dares you to complete both the Disneyland® Halloween 10K and the Disneyland® Halloween Half Marathon on pace, earning a special medal when you do. runDisney® Kids’ RacesKids up to age 9 can start their engines (not that they ever stop) and “Git-R-Done” during our fun-filled runDisney® Kids’ Races hosted by some of your favorites from Disney and Pixar’s “Cars” in their “car-stumes.” The thrilling fall event weekend also sees the return of Disneyland® Yoga, an early morning stretch session from inside Disneyland park! Kick off your run and fun-filled weekend by balancing your mind, body and spirit. Hosted by Goofy, participants can start their morning enjoying the unique opportunity to do yoga with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle before the park opens. Plus, experience special photo opportunities and appearances by some of your favorite Disney characters. We’re also excited to share that the celebrated charity for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend is the Anaheim Community Foundation. The Anaheim Community Foundation is the community’s center for collaboration, focused on the current and emerging needs of Anaheim residents. Throughout the year, the Foundation provides children, families, and residents in need with critical support to address food insecurity, mental health services, emergency rental/utility assistance, workforce development and at-risk youth intervention.
