What to expect
Ragnar Trail So Cal (fka Ragnar Trail Los Coyotes) is back (and happening earlier this year!) this October. Join as we come together with the Los Coyotes Band Cahuilla & Cupeno Indians for the best running festival under the stars. This race takes place in a desert…which means temperatures can fluctuate drastically. We heard you and have decided to move the race to October this year in hops that temperatures won’t be as drastic. In preparation for that night time chill, we will be bringing in extra heaters. We ask that you also pack accordingly for warmer days and colder nights! The fun happens at Los Coyotes Reservation located in the mountains just outside of San Diego. It’s been coined one of Ragnar’s most challenging trail races. Get ready for tough mountain hills and desert elements that will leave you feeling accomplished. You and your team will set out to conquer three winding loops, relay-style. The course is a mix of fire roads, single and double-track trails with stunning views. You’ll run through an alpine wonderland of junipers, pines and oaks all while being awed by sweeping views of the Anza-Borrego Desert and layers of stunning mountain ranges. When you’re not out on the trails, you’ll be home, at the Ragnar Village. Here you can rest your legs next to the campfire, chow down on s’mores and relax with your team. Take a break from city life to find yourself in an adventure full of self-discovery and sheer nature-loving goodness.
